Terms of Use
These terms set the basic agreement for creating an account, joining challenges, and using ChallengeMates responsibly.
Effective September 27, 2026
Using ChallengeMates
You must be at least 13 years old to use ChallengeMates. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, a parent or legal guardian must approve your use. You must provide accurate account information, keep your sign-in secure, and accept responsibility for activity on your account.
Challenges and personal responsibility
- Choose goals and activities that are lawful and reasonably safe for your health, ability, finances, and circumstances.
- ChallengeMates provides organization and community tools, not medical, financial, legal, or professional advice.
- ChallengeMates does not collect, hold, invest, transfer, or guarantee money saved by users. Any savings remain in accounts or places controlled by the user.
- Participation and results are not guaranteed. You are responsible for deciding whether to begin, continue, or stop a challenge.
Your content
You keep ownership of content you create. By posting it, you give ChallengeMates a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, adapt for formatting, and distribute it as needed to operate and promote the service, subject to your privacy settings.
You must have the right to post your content. Do not upload content that infringes copyright, privacy, publicity, or other rights. You can remove content where the service allows, although copies may remain in backups, safety records, or content previously shared by others.
Prohibited conduct
- Harassment, threats, hate, exploitation, sexual content involving minors, violence promotion, dangerous challenges, or encouragement of self-harm.
- Fraud, impersonation, deceptive fundraising, gambling, illegal activity, spam, malware, unauthorized advertising, or attempts to manipulate rankings.
- Collecting private information without permission, bypassing security, scraping the service, or interfering with other users.
- Posting false or manipulated proof intended to deceive participants.
Moderation and account action
We may review reports and public or reported content, limit visibility, remove content, reject or close challenges, restrict features, suspend accounts, or terminate access when reasonably necessary for safety, legal compliance, or enforcement. We may preserve relevant records and cooperate with lawful requests.
Service availability and disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” Features may change, pause, or end. To the extent permitted by law, ChallengeMates disclaims implied warranties and is not responsible for user conduct, challenge outcomes, injuries, losses, or content outside our reasonable control.
Limitation and updates
To the extent permitted by law, ChallengeMates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits rights or liabilities that cannot legally be limited.
We may update these terms. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the revised terms. Questions can be submitted through the support tools in ChallengeMates.
