Community Guidelines

ChallengeMates works when people feel encouraged, respected, and safe. These standards apply to challenges, posts, proof, comments, profiles, and messages.

Effective September 27, 2026

Be supportive and respectful

  • Encourage progress without shaming people for their body, health, finances, background, identity, ability, or results.
  • Disagree without insults, threats, repeated unwanted contact, bullying, or harassment.
  • Respect boundaries. Stop contacting someone when they ask you to stop.

Keep challenges safe

  • Do not create challenges that encourage dangerous stunts, extreme restriction, self-harm, substance misuse, illegal activity, or reckless financial behavior.
  • Do not pressure anyone to continue an activity that causes pain, distress, financial hardship, or feels unsafe.
  • Use age-appropriate goals and obtain qualified professional guidance when an activity may affect health or safety.

Post honest, appropriate proof

  • Share photos or videos that genuinely relate to your progress. Do not falsify proof or manipulate results to mislead others.
  • Get permission before posting another person. Never post intimate content, graphic injury, private documents, or content that exploits minors.
  • Avoid showing home addresses, financial details, identification numbers, school details, or other sensitive information.

No scams, spam, or exploitation

  • Do not request passwords, banking credentials, gift cards, cryptocurrency, or off-platform payments.
  • Do not use challenges for pyramid schemes, deceptive fundraising, gambling, unsolicited promotion, or recruitment into harmful groups.
  • Do not impersonate another person or organization.

Reporting and enforcement

Report content or behavior that may violate these guidelines. Do not use reporting tools to retaliate or silence ordinary disagreement. We consider context, severity, history, and risk when reviewing reports.

Actions may include warnings, reduced visibility, removal, challenge closure, feature restrictions, suspension, or account termination. Serious or urgent threats may be referred to appropriate authorities.
